Rafael Velasquez is a charismatic actor who portrays authentic, influential and compelling characters in film and television. He is known for The Cleaning Lady, Sirona, Caged, and The Night We Met.
Rafael was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in business. He was the graduating class speaker at his college graduation ceremonies.
Rafael has been on a "stage" my entire life in some fashion. Rafael wrestling when he was six years old and continued through high school. Every time he stepped on the mat to compete, it was time to perform. Rafael was his high school mascot for 3 years and was always in front of the crowds at sporting events and school functions. Rafael was also the photo editor for his high school year book.
Rafael also did an internship where he was a Disney World Cast member and performed daily at the resort.
Rafael’s passions include acting, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, riding motorcycles, horses, and traveling. He has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 10 years and is currently a Brown Belt and a coach at Impact Jiu Jitsu in Albuquerque.
Rafael competed at the IBJJF World Masters Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 2019 with over 8,000 competitors and placed 3rd in his division.
He enjoys traveling and seeing the world and learning new things.
